Dr. Jarod Rusnak was born and raised in South Porcupine, Ontario and grew up playing a variety of sports and staying active. This passion for movement brought him to McMaster University, where he obtained his kinesiology degree. Jarod worked with the McMaster Varsity Swimming and Wrestling Teams as a student therapist where he was able to work with top Ontario athletes. Following his undergraduate studies, Jarod finished the doctorate program in chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Outside of structured education, Jarod has taken specialized courses in chronic pain, pain science and biomechanics.
Jarod is a firm believer in patient centered, evidenced based care. Jarod uses best available scientific evidence along with patient values to arrive at individualized treatment plans. As a firm believer in self-management, Jarod empowers patients to take control of their health and wellness. Understanding the multifactorial nature of pain, Jarod will combine manual therapy and work with you to identify goals and barriers to recovery. Strategies can include tips to address deficiencies in physical activity, stress, or sleep, and help you return to activities you enjoy.
Outside the clinic, you can find Jarod resistance training, downhill skiing, playing golf or laying around in the sun. He also enjoys daily walks (dogs are a bonus!) and keeping up with the latest movies and TV shows.
